Principal Consultant – Tableau (DG Collibra)

Inviting applications for the role Principal Consultant – Tableau (DG Collibra)
Responsibilities:
Identify capabilities/features to meet needs of the customer, translate into user stories.
• Develop, Test, Deploy and Maintain Applications including, and not limited to, Angular web application, Tableau / PowerBI Dashboards utilizing SQL and python scripts, ETL pipelines, performing Data Analytics to generate Insights for senior leadership.
• As part of Tableau Development, you would be expected to –
1. Preparing data for use by Tableau.
2. Establishing connections to Data Sources.
3. Adding or Creating Dimensions, Measures and Calculations.
4. Performing Data Modeling in Tableau Desktop.
5. Developing Workbooks and Hyper Extracts on Tableau Desktop.
6. Publishing Workbooks and Data Sources to Tableau Development and QA sites.
7. Refreshing Extracts on Development and QA sites.
8. Monitoring the status of extract schedules on QA site.

9. Performing Unit Testing on Development and QA sites.
10. Resolving any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources.
11. Cataloguing measures and dimensions in Firm’s approved Data Cataloguing tool.
12. Requesting access for Interactors and Viewers.
13. Follow up Managers for any required approvals.
14. Providing knowledge transfer and support to Interactors and Viewers.
15. Coordinating with Tableau Admin Team for Production Deployment.
16. Monitoring Usage Report of their Workbooks and Data Sources.

• Stakeholder management (across divisions, programs, and fleet) and understand/advocate the relative priority of capabilities/features for the product.
• Collaborate with squad to refine user stories and shape solutions.
• Leading Product Reviews to share advancements in the product and to collect ‘voice of the customer’ feedback.
• Present requirements/business design into decision making forums to govern decisions.
• Ensure consistency and interoperability of their product with other products in the platform.
• Maximizing the product’s value; ensure measurable adoption of new capabilities and features. Publishing documentation, guidance, and training for the product.
• Participate in transforming the firm towards a Data Driven culture.
• Build relationships and influence senior stakeholders across the firm.
• Develop domain expertise in Data Governance and Enterprise Metadata Management.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
•career experience as a Full Stack developer with a expertise in Tableau / PowerBI along with Financial Services industry experience with a solid understanding of Capital Markets/Banking/ Finance domain.
• Proficient in SQL and python scripting.
• Proactive self-starter who can identify opportunities for improvement and operate autonomously.
• Ability to conduct data analysis to make data driven decisions.
• Understanding of software enterprise architecture patterns, software development processes, and tools that developers use to deploy their changes as a part of CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of methods used by systems to communicate/transfer data (e.g. databases, APIs, files, message queues).
• Organizational skills as reflected through a methodical/organized approach to analysis and documentation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to create detailed user stories, working with users and squad to refine stories.
• Strong problem-solving skills, business acumen, and demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Agile software development practices, TDD, Continuous Integration.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience on Data Governance - Concepts, Policies and Principles.
• Certifications relevant to Governance, Modelling, Architecture
• Experience in any Data Governance Tool like Collibra etc.
