Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering Automation (Power Automate) SME

Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering Automation (Power Automate) SME

In this role, you will work closely with business units and IT teams to identify opportunities for automation, streamline processes, and improve efficiency through the use of Power Automate and other related Microsoft 365 tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing automated workflows across various business processes.
Responsibilities
• Lead the design, development, and deployment of automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate.
• Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation, and work with stakeholders to define requirements.
• Develop and maintain complex workflows that integrate with various Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook, as well as third-party applications.
• Ensure that automation solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with business units to understand their processes and identify areas for improvement through automation.
• Propose and implement solutions that reduce manual effort, increase efficiency, and minimize errors.
• Continuously evaluate and refine existing workflows to ensure they remain effective and aligned with changing business needs.
• Integrate Power Automate solutions with other Microsoft 365 tools and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure that automation solutions are properly integrated with the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members in the use of Power Automate and related tools.
• Provide training and mentorship to business users and IT staff on the use of Power Automate.
• Create and maintain documentation, including workflow diagrams, user guides, and best practices.
• Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for automated workflows, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution of issues.
• Ensure that all automated solutions comply with organizational policies, data security standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement governance practices around the use of Power Automate, including permissions management, auditing, and monitoring.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of automated processes to ensure compliance and security.
• Stay up to date with the latest features and updates in Power Automate and other automation tools.
• Explore new opportunities for automation within the organization and propose innovative solutions to enhance business processes.
• Participate in community forums, webinars, and training to continuously improve skills and knowledge.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Good experience in IT or business process automation, with a focus on Microsoft Power Automate.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex automated workflows.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Power Automate, including advanced flow development, integration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of business process management (BPM) and process optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in other Microsoft 365 tools, such as Power Apps, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of scripting and coding languages, such as PowerShell or JavaScript, is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
• Six Sigma or Lean certification in process improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
