Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering - Azure DevOps

Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering - Azure DevOps
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, ensuring the efficient deployment and operation of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure, automation, and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on Azure.
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives and best practices.
• Lead the migration and modernization of applications to Azure cloud.
• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tools.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates.
• Integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes.
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and implement necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and optimize for cost efficiency.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on cloud infrastructure performance, security, and cost optimization.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in system administration, with a cloud operations DevOps.
• Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud platform and Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
