Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Cloud Engineering OCI Senior
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on OCI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, automation, and best practices in cloud operations, with a focus on Oracle's cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Lead the migration and modernization of on-premises applications to OCI.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of OCI infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Implement and manage OCI resources, including compute instances, storage, networking, and databases.
• Optimize OCI infrastructure for cost and efficiency.
• Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Oracle Developer Cloud Service.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Integrate automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes.
• Implement and enforce OCI security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Conduct security assessments and audits, implementing necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures within OCI.
• Monitor OCI infrastructure performance, reliability, and optimize for cost efficiency.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions within OCI.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
• Work collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of OCI infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Prepare and present regular reports on OCI infrastructure performance, security, and cost optimization.

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in system administration, with designing, deploying, and managing OCI infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud security practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Extensive experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in OCI.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
