We Are inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant -Software Release Manager
In this role, we are looking for an analytical, results-driven Solution Architect who will work with Business user and Product owners to finalize the requirement and then also work with software engineering to finalize the architecture and design of the requirement function. The SA will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, seek problems, and build a more detailed delivery process for the software engineering team. Should have excellent communication, and project management skills. Should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and self-motivated.
Responsibilities
In this role, you would be responsible for
Release Planning and Coordination:
Develop and maintain release plans, timelines, and schedules in coordination with project managers, development teams, and stakeholders.
Coordinate release activities across different teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of software releases.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with release activities and dependencies.
Release Process Management:
Define and enforce release management processes and best practices.
Establish and maintain release management tools, version control systems, and repositories.
Implement automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the release process.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with QA teams to ensure adequate test coverage for each release.
Review and approve release artifacts, including test plans, test results, and documentation.
Conduct post-release reviews and retrospectives to identify areas for improvement.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related inquiries and updates.
Communicate release schedules, status updates, and risks to stakeholders and senior management.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to resolve issues and drive alignment.
Deployment and Release Execution:
Coordinate deployment activities, including release builds, configuration changes, and rollout plans.
Monitor release deployments and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer for deployed releases.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive process improvements and efficiencies in the release management process.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in release management and incorporate them into the organization's processes.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the release management team.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in release management or related roles, preferably in a software development environment.
Proven experience in planning and executing releases in Monthly and bi-weekly basis.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and release management principles.
Proficiency with release management tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Agile) are desirable.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working of web-based portals and applications
Good knowledge of Java/J2EE web application technology – Springboot/Microservices and AWS Cloud.
Excellent in communication.
Leading/Managing a team from Offshore.
Experience working on spring framework and microservice development.
Experience working on service-oriented architecture.
Strong experience working on Amazon web service or any other cloud platform.
Aware of the modern-day architecture and technologies used in web development.
