Meet the Team
This is an outstanding opportunity to join Cisco’s Regulatory Affairs group on the Cyber and National Security Legal Team. You will advise on emerging and existing cybersecurity and national security regulations worldwide and counsel the business on regulatory compliance, including how to meet customer expectations on these topics. You will partner closely with your colleagues on the Regulatory Affairs team and across Cisco Legal, as well as Government Affairs, the Security and Trust Organization (S&TO), Engineering, Sales, and Corporate Affairs.
Your Impact
Act as the subject-matter expert and resource across a range of regulatory issues, including cyber and national security regulations around the world. Counsel your legal colleagues, product engineering, go-to-market teams, and other business teams on global cyber and national security regulations and develop Cisco policies and implementation plans to meet our compliance obligations and customer expectations on these topics. Assist with responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations. Develop and implement Cisco’s strategy with respect to new laws and regulations and Cisco’s commitments related to them. Advance Cisco’s commitment to developing sustainable, scalable, and ethical approaches to complex business issues. Support Cisco’s regional Government Affairs leads on their work related to emerging regulatory trends and frameworks that impact Cisco’s business.
Minimum Qualifications
Law degree (J.D. or non-U.S. equivalent), with excellent academic credentials. You are a licensed attorney in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where Cisco does business. 7+ years of relevant legal, in-house, and/or law firm experience. Substantive legal experience and knowledge in regulatory and/or corporate policy matters involving cybersecurity and national security.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior in-house experience with a public company is preferred, but we will consider a candidate with demonstrated experience working with technology companies on regulatory matters in relevant subject-matter areas.
