The Team

The Fidelity Workplace Consulting Group is comprised of over 300 professionals who advise clients on the management of their domestic benefits. Data Consulting is a fast-growing, revenue generating business within Fidelity, providing a broad range of direct-to-client services that touch on every area of benefits design, strategy, funding, communication, and delivery. While we focus on supporting the Fortune 1000, we also work with Fidelity clients of all sizes.

Data Consulting engages in data quality improvement efforts that span single and multiple product lines (i.e. Health and Welfare, Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Stock Plan Services and HR/Payroll) within the implementation and ongoing servicing client lifecycle.

The Role

The Principal Data Engineer designs, implements, documents data solutions that will be used in direct-to-consumer consulting solutions. These solutions support projects involving data ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, BI and other data solutions. Data solutions developed should improve data object re-use, streamline data movements, and improve WI Data Consulting information management. The incumbent will demonstrate technical skills in tools like Python, Snowflake and data analysis/modeling to support custom business requests from external customers.

Role Functions:

Professional proficiency in Python Development for Data Movement/Transformation including development of classes and object oriented code3+ years of Data analysis experience2+ Years of Snowflake or other cloud-based stored procedure and SQL experience4+ years of ETL/ELT ExperienceLeadership in implementation of data solutions leading analysts to develop the right solutions to fit highly sophisticated business needsCreatively, adaptively tackle sophisticated business data problems.Experience with optimization of Cloud-based SQL query performancePartner with business consultants and Analysts to build flexible, scalable, and efficient client solutions for data.Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or Data Modeling.
