As a Leading Platform Engineering Principal Architect, you will play a key role in defining the vision and roadmap for Developer Experience (DevX) in a large-scale, elite R&D organization with over 1,200 engineers.
Your mission is to design a secure, scalable, and high-performance platform that enables efficient, seamless, and world-class development workflows.
You will be the mentor and leading Architect for a group of 40 talented engineers in the Developer Platform Group, ensuring best practices in security, architecture, and operational excellence.
Your work will be pivotal in driving innovation, resilience, and extensibility across our platform.

As a key member of the team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and implementation of modern cloud-based technologies to support R&D at scale.
Job Responsibilities:
Research & Lead: Explore and validate new tools, approaches, and methodologies through proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to enhance the platform’s capabilitiesArchitectural Leadership: Define and implement scalable platform solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and security across the R&D organization.Process Optimization: Drive architectural processes to completion while ensuring simplicity, reducing technical debt, and improving overall system resilienceCross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and system architects to align platform architecture with business goals and evolving technical needs.Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor architects across the organization, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation while strengthening the DevX function.#LI-MS1
QualificationsSoftware Architecture: 5+ years of experience as a software architect.Cloud Expertise: 3+ years of experience designing cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred).Platform Engineering & DevOps: 2+ years of experience working in high-scale environments.Technical Mastery: Strong background in serverless architectures, enterprise systems, and scalable solution patterns, with a proven track record of launching large-scale products.Modern Development Practices: Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD workflows, and contemporary software engineering principles.Communication & Documentation: Strong skills in technical modeling, sketching, and documentation, with fluent English and excellent communication abilities.Strategic Decision-Making: Ability to make well-informed architectural and business decisions, even with incomplete information.Leadership & Influence: A proactive mindset with strong prioritization skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire teams.Advantages:
