The Front-End Central Process Integration (cPIE) team at Micron focuses on integrating with fab teams in the US and Asia, preparing for technology ramp-ups, and introducing new technologies. Their purpose includes ensuring the smooth ramp-up process, collaborating with product engineering and development engineering teams, and making sure they achieve key benchmarks.
As a Senior Device Engineer in Micron's cPIE team, you will work with the global Micron network to enhance device performance and ensure product yield and quality standards. Your responsibilities include refining process procedures, reducing device variability, improving design layouts or test specifications, and standardizing business processes and work methods. You may focus on either DRAM or NAND flash memory as required.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Collaborate with the fab and product teams on key device-related issues to find solutions
+ Proactively understand new tech processes and risks
+ Improve device performance to meet yield and quality requirements by analyzing and optimizing process steps, design layout, and test specs
+ Standardize business procedures and improve working methodology across Micron's global network
+ Travel as needed for job responsibilities; domestically and internationally
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
+ Working experience in fab process or process integration or test engineering- 3 years minimum in semiconductor
+ Knowledge in semiconductor physics and understanding of transistor operations, scaling limitations and reliability, basic knowledge of CMOS circuits and characterization methods.
+ Deep understanding of at least one semiconductor fabrication process area, including tool sets, process mechanism, tuning knobs, etc.
+ Excellent data analysis ability using at least one software (JMP, SPOTFIRE, etc)
+ Experience with MS office
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's or Ph.D. degree in Physics or Engineering areas
+ Direct experience in CMOS or NAND/DRAM memory device engineering
+ Experience in advance transistor architectures such as High-K metal gate or FinFET or GAA
+ Working-level communication capability in Mandarin Chinese or Japanese
+ Programming experience with Python
