Principal Digital Engineer - Transformation Leader, Principal Engineer
**Job description:** Transformation Leader, Principal Engineer, Digital Continuity Practice in Capgemini Engineering We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Digital Transformation Leader to join our Digital Continuity Practice. This role is pivotal in driving the transformation of engineering and manufacturing processes through innovative digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in Enterprise Architecture and a deep understanding of technologies such as CAX, PLM, Digital Thread with Engineering and Manufacturing IT. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. • Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in engineering and manufacturing environments. • Strong expertise in CAX, PLM, Digital Thread, and Continuity technologies. • Extensive background in Enterprise Architecture with a track record of successful implementations. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing talent. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and adapt to changing priorities. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead the digital transformation initiatives for engineering clients across Industry sectors – MFG, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. • Technology Integration: Drive the integration of CAX, PLM, Digital Thread technologies to optimize engineering and manufacturing processes. • Enterprise Architecture: Utilize extensive Enterprise Architect background to develop and implement robust digital strategies and architectures. • Client Engagement: Collaborate with key clients to understand their needs, provide strategic insights, and support their digital transformation journey. • Innovative Solutions: Identify and implement innovative digital solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in engineering and manufacturing. • Project Management: Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a team of digital engineers, architects, and other professionals to achieve project goals and foster a culture of innovation. • Continuous Improvement: Promote & implement a culture of continuous improvements including GenAI, Automation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal, client C-Suite and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. **Required Skills:** • Experience in across multiple Industry sectors. • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, GenAI and machine learning. • Certifications in relevant technologies and project management methodologies. **Life at Capgemini** Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
