JLR are looking for an experience Digital Solution Architect to join our exciting and diverse Software Hub based in the heart of vibrant Manchester. This role would be ideal for somebody who can work closely as part of our team and provide technical leadership in designing evolvable systems that can scale to meet our customer needs within JLR and across our multiple worldwide site locations.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

To build a good understanding of JLR’s business model take stakeholders and customers on a journey to solve the key "needs and problems" not just what is asked. Drive the strategic alignment of our products with our business models, with a radical focus on delivering value to our business. Design evolutionary systems that are cloud-native, interoperable across multiple cloud providers. Apply modern practices such as microservices and event-driven architecture with the diligence and constraint they deserve. Ensure quality attributes such as; security, reliability, performance etc. are always under consideration and the trade-offs understood.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Proficient in containerised system design and at least one programming language (e.g., Go, Java, JavaScript). Skilled both RESTful and event-driven API design, as well as enterprise integration patterns. Experienced with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure) and database solutions (mySQL, MongoDB). Competent with event streaming solutions (Kafka, Flink, KSQL) and micro service architecture Expertise in DevOps, agile methodologies, and large-scale system operations.
