We are actively seeking a Principal Domain Architect, Cloud Services. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere is the U.S. The role may require periodic travel as necessary across the world.

Position Summary 

As part of our Rimini Consult group, the Principal Domain Architect, Cloud Services, will be responsible for designing and delivering customized solutions to meet the unique needs of our clients. You will work closely with clients, sales teams, and internal technical teams to understand client requirements, propose tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation.

The role also encompasses providing thought leadership around functional strategy, including overseeing complex project implementations, Product Roadmap Analyses, reviewing and analyzing current system functionality, and have demonstrated a strong ability to analyze and provide guidance to support strategic objectives. He/she will demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills, deep analytical skills, deep functional expertise, solution orientation, strategic thinking, the ability to establish rapport at all levels within the organization, and the ability to drive consensus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions and architectures leveraging AWS, Azure, GCP and hybrid/multi-cloud environmentsWork with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into robust cloud architecturesDesign and develop cloud-native applications using containers, serverless computing and microservicesSelect and implement the best cloud services, tools and platforms to meet solution requirementsLead cloud migration planning, execution, optimization and managementMonitor and analyze cloud environment performance, availability, latency and capacityEstablish and enforce cloud architecture principles, standards and best practicesMentor and guide team members on cloud technologies and architecturesCollaborate with pre-sales and delivery teams to ensure successful customer implementationsKeep current with cloud services, architectures, security standards and industry trends

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, preferably in Computer Sciences and/or Information Technology or related field (Master’s Degree preferred)

Location

This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Desired Experience

7+ years of experience designing and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure and/or GCPDeep expertise with key cloud services like EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, App Services etc.Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and ECSKnowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform and CloudFormationExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes on cloud platformsStrong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, Node.js etc.Experience migrating and modernizing legacy applications to the cloudBackground in solution architecture and enterprise application design and developmentAbility to think strategically about business needs and product direction

Compensation is based on role, location, and level of applicable experience. 

Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.

The general salary range for this type of role is 142k - 177k depending on skills and experience.
