**Job ID: 111251** The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world. **Job Summary** Join our Menomonee Falls, WI team as a **Senior E** **lectrical Engineer.** This role is hands on with design, development, modification, and analysis of various electronics systems including motor controller and power conversion applications for naval ships and submarines. **What You Will Do** + Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products, systems or subsystems + roubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in existing products or systems and makes modifications as needed + Compile and evaluate design and test data + Analyze, develop, and recommend design approaches + Lead or mentor junior engineers + May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments + Provide regular reporting of progress and status + Review customer specifications and requirements, and under direction, develop designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable + Specify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and services + Develop prototypes to retire key development risks as directed **Education & Experience Requirements** + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field + at least 10 years of experience in design and product development + Knowledge of power electronics, power distribution, circuit board design, and/or semi-conductors is much preferred + Motivated and engaged; comfortable in a team environment but also okay with working independently sometimes + Candidates must be a US citizen and meet DRS security standards as imposed by DoD, including the issuance of any necessary security clearance by the US government within a reasonable time after commencement of employment _Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
