Job Summary:

The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) organization includes all of the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test of all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including: test requirements, test system design, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations, environmental testing, and environmental characterization. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  

The Effector’s Common Platforms Department needs a Senior Principal Systems Engineer Integrated Product Team Lead who can lead a section of project leadership professionals who are responsible for all elements of managing a project through all lifecycles to include but not limited to development, transition to production, design verification, qualification, and manufacturing acceptance of final product going to the customer.  The candidate must have experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and cost account management including the development of EVMS artifacts, EACs, LRE/ETC, baseline change management, overall team execution strategy, and BOEs.

You must demonstrate applied experience and working knowledge of developmental test process, test set-ups and integration, test equipment design with transition to the factory, and verification / validation of product hardware using proven test systems, methodologies, and techniques. Additionally, you must demonstrate the ability to identify and understand technology risks and system design concepts to make critical technical outcomes by understanding impacts to the program.

This position is ONSITE in Tucson, Arizona

What You Will Do:

Lead a team of approximately 10-15 members.Establishes meaningful and measurable goals and communicates effectively with their team to ensure alignment with the department and center.Leads by example, adheres to, and ensures alignment with Raytheon Values and Behaviors.Collaborates with multi-discipline teams in the operation, testing and troubleshooting of systems.Provides independent health checks by evaluating program’s metrics. Involvement in center initiatives.Interact with Operation Managers, Operation PTEs, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, CPT/Directorate Leads, as well as other functional management to drive results to achieve program and business unit objectives.Supports Test Equipment Engineering program hiring goals as well as leads the onboarding of new section personnel.This role requires being onsite.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and five (5) years of relevant experienceExperience leading efforts as a program manager, IPTL, sub-IPTL, REA and/or project team lead. Experience with financial reporting activities, including CAM The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Previous work experience developing artifacts in Gain Phase (IQ) analysis.  Experience with career development and personal skills development of team members.Ability to obtain and work in Special Access Program Area(s).Experience developing TE for production test environments.Previous work experience developing artifacts as an electrical, software, mechanical, systems or configurable logic.Experience working with TESA, Testability and cybersecurity.Experience working in Agile development process.Experience working with program configuration management principles and tools such as IMS, PMX tools or tracking books.Past engineering experience working in a matrix organization comprised of multidiscipline design teams across multiple projects with rigorous design disciplines.Experience with EVMS (Earned Value Management System or similar budget tracking system).Knowledge with the Performance Development Process.Working understanding of the TEE One Page Process. Experience with our proposal capture process (development of compliant Basis of Estimates, and White Sheet Development).Experience with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process and Engineering Labor Forecasting (ELF) System.Knowledge with business and program improvements through process improvement methodologies.Knowledge of whole lifecycle process from requirements development to maintenance and sustainment.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
