Principal End User Computing (EUC) Engineer
**Description** **Overview:** Vestis is seeking a highly experienced Principal End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and management of laptop/desktop computing environments within our organization. This role focuses on optimizing the end-user experience while ensuring secure and efficient management of EUC environments across a remote workforce and manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in managing operating systems, application deployments, patching, automation, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), and cloud-based collaboration tools. **Responsibilities/Essential Functions:** + System Management: Lead the administration and deployment of Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11, and familiarity with legacy systems like Windows 7 and XP) across enterprise-level desktops and laptops. + Device Management: Oversee the use of Microsoft Intune for device configuration, policy management, OS, and application deployment, ensuring seamless operation across diverse environments, including manufacturing. + Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Manage and support VDI solutions both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring secure and scalable virtual desktop environments that meet user needs. + Patching and Updates: Manage and optimize patch management processes using Intune and/or Microsoft SCCM, ensuring timely updates and adherence to security policies. + Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automated workflows using PowerShell and other scripting languages to streamline EUC engineering tasks, reduce manual work, and enhance system efficiency. + Cloud Integration: Manage the integration and support of Microsoft 365 services, including Email, Teams, SharePoint, and the Office Suite, ensuring smooth user experience and operational performance. + End-User Support: Focus on enhancing the end-user experience by collaborating closely with IT support teams to troubleshoot, optimize performance, and implement solutions that improve customer satisfaction. + Security and Compliance: Ensure all EUC configurations align with industry security standards and organizational compliance requirements. + Project Leadership: Lead key EUC engineering initiatives, such as Windows migration projects, system upgrades, and new technology implementations. + Documentation & Training: Create documentation for laptop, desktop and device configurations, processes, and procedures, and provide training to IT staff and end users as necessary. **Key Qualifications:** + Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in a EUC engineering or related IT role, with expertise in managing enterprise workstation environments. + Technical Proficiency: + Expertise with Windows operating systems (Windows 10, 11, 7, XP). + Expertise in using Microsoft Intune for device management, configuration, and patching. + Advanced scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, for automating desktop and device management. + Strong Experience with Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint) and cloud-based solutions. + Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies, both on-premises and cloud-based (e.g. Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware Horizon or similar). + Patching Management: Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM for system patching, deployments, and reporting. + End-User Computing Focus: Demonstrated ability to improve end-user experience by driving optimization, standardization, and automation in desktop and virtual desktop management processes. **Additional Qualifications:** + Manufacturing Environment: Experience managing devices and systems in a manufacturing or similar industrial environment is a strong plus. + Customer Service Orientation: Proven ability to work closely with users and IT support teams to enhance customer satisfaction. + Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or similar are preferred. + Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis and permanent solutions. **Working Environment/Safety Requirements:** + Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-Vestis location (remote work) + Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization’s requirement for 24/7 production support + Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules **License Requirements/Certifications:** + Valid U.S. drivers license (for rental cars when applicable) Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
