Principal Engineer, App Development
Position OverviewThe Principal Engineer, App Development will be responsible for developing applications that support critical business processes. The person will work independently, partner with IS and business liaisons to understand requirements to deliver enhanced end-user experience for Application users.

Job DescriptionDescription

Analyze business requirements and work with stakeholders to develop system design specifications. Design, code, and implement software systems and applications tailored to the organization's needs. Modify existing systems to improve performance and adapt to new requirements. Integrate various software applications and data sources to ensure seamless data flow between different systems. Create automated processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in operations. Work with supply chain systems to optimize warehouse management. Keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends that could benefit the organization. Evaluate new tools and software to ensure the organization remains competitive. Collaborate with industry partners for potential technological innovations. Develop and execute test plans to ensure that systems are functioning properly. Monitor system logs and user feedback to detect errors or areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues. Support on-call rotation.Travel Required:No

Skills

Specialized Knowledge : Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python. Solid understanding of new and existing development platforms and environments. Experience distributed programming languages such as Spark. Understanding of caching solutions - REDIS, Elastice, etc. Good experience with database management systems like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle. Experience with ERP systems like Oracle Apps, SAP or Oracle Netsuite. INFOR WMS, Manhattan.Special Skills : Proficiency in data integration tools such as Oracle SOA, Microsoft Integration Services or Apache Nifi. Good understanding of web technologies and services (e.g., REST, SOAP). Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
