Your Role at Baxter

Apply a solid understanding of Interoperability Engineering practices and theories/practices in Interoperability toward the development of new or enhanced Software products or processes. Support the advancement of Interoperability competencies and execution across the Medical Devices and Software Applications.

What you'll be doing

Plan, schedule, and lead project assignments using appropriate engineering techniques, processes, and methods with minimal mentorship.

Identify and define requirements for a product or a feature that improve the Interoperability features.

Provide leadership and mentor to Interoperability team in Integrating Medical Devices using relevant and efficient methodologies, tools, and techniques.

Work closely with resources from different functions (e.g. hardware, clinical, human factors, etc.) to define and test interoperable features.

Support teams in adhering to processes and regulations.

Participate in identifying and planning tasks, activities, and resourcing needs related to Interoperability.

What you'll bring

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Interoperability Product Design and development. Worked on Healthcare products or applications.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science / Electronics & Communication / Electrical or related field.

Engineering knowledge and software product development experience in Medical Devices, Aerospace or other regulated industries.

Experienced in at least of one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java.

Experience with different operating systems – Linux and database query language.

Solid understanding of Medical Device regulations (21CFR820, European MDD, Canadian Medical Device regulations, etc.).

Hands on interfacing of Medical Devices or applications.

Understanding and application of such as ISO 14971, IEC 61025, IEC 62366, IEC 60601 is an added advantage.

Experienced in handling customer complaints, performed the root-cause analysis in investigations and resolve Interoperability issues.

Expertise and proficiency in Excel, Minitab, Doors, and other Requirements Management & Documentation tools.

Requires strong organization and polished communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to talk to both technical and non-technical personnel throughout the organization.

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal direction.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 to $143,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
