**JOB OVERVIEW**
We are currently seeking a strong **Principal Engineer, SDLC Architect** to create and deliver solutions to our technology and business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain world-class technology platforms.

In this role, you will provide engineering leadership and contribute to the firm's efforts in optimizing its software product delivery standards, methodologies, and toolsets. These processes, tools, and services will form the core foundation for product teams developing solutions that support the firm's Investment, Client, and Infrastructure platforms. This role involves working closely with product owners, engineering teams, information security, and cloud infrastructure teams to identify opportunities for standardization, enhance engineering productivity, support scalability, and improve the overall developer experience.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Oversee the software development lifecycle standards and tools, enhancing stakeholder insight into team roadmaps, priorities, and efficiency metrics.
+ Instrument and optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by standardizing methods and tools and automating processes.
+ Drive implementation and adoption of AI-enabled code generation, testing, and documentation capabilities.
+ Identify optimal configurations for tool suites like Jira, VSCode, Bitbucket, Sonar, and Jenkins.
+ Promote industry-standard CI/CD practices to boost code and product quality.
+ Maintain documentation, provide training, and conduct outreach to drive standards adoption.
+ Provide hands-on analysis for support issues.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Knowledge of modern software development principles, and methodologies
+ 10+ years as a software engineer in application development life cycles
+ 2+ years as a software engineering team lead
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a plus
+ Expertise in Agile/SCRUM development process
+ Experience with IDEs for creating software applications (e.g., VS Code, JetBrains, Gitpod, Visual Studio)
+ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and DevOps practices
+ Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript
+ Leadership experience in dev engineering and/or site reliability engineering (SRE)
+ Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation)
+ Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies knowledge (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
+ Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues

At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry. We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 100,000 - 225,000
This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
