About the role:
As a Principal Systems Engineer you will manage the design and implementation of non-safety control systems for greenfield projects across the world with a focus on Westinghouse AP1000 plants. You will lead and direct a team of engineers to ensure the successful achievement of project goals.
You will report to the GOS Manager, Control & Information Systems Engineering and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA facility. This is a hybrid role. No relocation will be provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design of industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design input. Work with multiple teams including the hardware, software, and test teams to guarantee a integrated design that meets all requirements. Guide the development and use of control system platform standards. Review design documentation and work products from multiple teams. Support business development by preparing cost estimates and technical descriptions Bring innovation and continuous improvement to internal processes and support transformation programs to improve product quality and project efficiency. Help share operating experiences and lessons learned with other projects and across the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear). 7+ years of experience. Experience in designing large-scale distributed control systems Proficient in engineering principles and techniques Work as part of a large global team, with leadership experience Knowledge of control theory, plant processes, process dynamics, basic control, discrete control, and sequential controlWe are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
