Connected Camera System group creates embedded and smart device and camera/imaging solutions for Edge Boxes, IP Cameras, Sports Cameras, Drones, Robotics. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating, developing and optimizing cutting edge machine learning and deep learning algorithms, and IoT Gen AI and Vision AI enabled use case designs.

Responsibilities:

System Design for state-of-the-art AI-based solution/application for IOT usecasesCutting edge Machine Learning and Deep Learning research, design, development and optimizationSystem bandwidth analysis and computation for complex problems involving Vision AI and Gen AI usecasesProvide technical leadership to R&D teamCoordination between cross functional/geo teams

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Education and Qualifications:

Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field10+ years knowledge and experience of embedded systems and system on chip micro-architecture10+ years knowledge and experience of DSP architectures, optimization and acceleration of algorithms on DSPPrior experience with technical leadership responsibility

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctorate in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field10+ years of experience with IOT/Embedded industry with focus on low level programmingPrior experience with high performance embedded programming preferredHands-on knowledge of TensorFlow, TFLite, Pytorch, ONNXExpertise in Machine Learning and Data Modeling, especially image/video related dataExperience in Natural Language Processing is a plus

Pay range:

$198,000.00 - $297,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm.  We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).  In addition, our highly competitive benefits package is designed to support your success at work, at home, and at play.
