Principal Engineer

**Description**
Performs in-depth engineering analyses of complex security related systems to determine potential for further development, production, interface to other systems, and usefulness in the homeland security environment. Prepares test plans and program assessment reports; briefs government staff on ongoing activities; interviews government and non-government people to improve system engineering knowledge. Has knowledge and/or experience in systems integration. Can complete project life cycle work (planning, development, execution, termination), develop work breakdown structures, PERT/CPM critical path working knowledge, project budgets, and tracking of project activities. Has excellent communication skills and is able to write and speak on project documents, including project plans, test plans and procedures, data analysis reports, project final reports. Has a working knowledge of commercial project management software programs. Onsite in Atlantic City, NJ.
US Citizens only. Ability to obtain SECRET Security Clearance (preference is currently cleared). Ability to obtain DHS Suitability (preference if currently cleared).
Good leadership skills, and excellent written and oral communications. Experience with the handling of explosives/narcotics/hazardous chemicals (this is a differentiator and preference will be given).
