Seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to contribute towards the development of Flexera’s Cloud Cost Optimization solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Billing SME for MSP Solutions:Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cloud billing across Azure, AWS, and GCP, with a focus on Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to build and enhance cloud billing features tailored for MSP customers.
Feature Design & Architecture:Work closely with product managers, other engineers, and architects to design new MSP billing features, integrations, and enhancements based on your expertise in cloud billing models. Ensure that the solutions are scalable, flexible, and optimized for multi-tenant environments. Design and implement cloud-based software applications with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and security. Lead the technical roadmap for the Cloud Cost Optimization product line.
Cost Management & Optimization for MSPs:Apply your knowledge of cloud cost management to ensure that MSP billing models are cost-efficient, transparent, and easy to use. Guide the engineering team on the design of cost allocation, usage tracking, billing reconciliation, and reporting features that are critical to MSP environments.
Cloud Billing Data Integration:Ensure seamless integration between cloud billing data from Azure, AWS, GCP, and internal billing systems. Work with data engineers to build robust pipelines that accurately capture usage data and support real-time billing reporting for MSP customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with product, engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure that MSP billing features meet both technical and business requirements. Ensure alignment between cloud cost management strategies and overall product roadmaps.
Documentation & Best Practices:Document billing workflows, best practices, and technical specifications for MSP billing features. Provide training and support to internal teams on new or updated billing features and processes.
Cloud Financial Operations for MSPs:Optimize cloud financial operations, ensuring billing accuracy, data integrity, and consistent reporting. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of cloud billing operations, focusing on reducing errors and improving system efficiency.
You'll be expected to have:
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud financial operations, or cloud billing, with at least 3+ years of experience working in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.Strong hands-on experience with cloud billing models, usage tracking, and cost optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP.Demonstrated experience building or enhancing MSP billing solutions, particularly in cloud environments with multi-tenant and multi-cloud architectures.In-depth knowledge of cloud billing mechanisms, including pricing models, cost allocation, invoicing, and reporting for Azure, AWS, and GCP.Proven experience managing or developing billing solutions for Managed Service Providers, with a deep understanding of the challenges and nuances of billing in MSP environments.Familiarity with cloud billing tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, or Google Cloud Billing.Familiarity with multi-tenancy models, tenant-level usage tracking, and scalable billing architectures for MSP solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess billing issues, analyze usage data, and optimize cost management strategies for cloud services in MSP settings.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex cloud billing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and finance, to drive the development of new features.Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.Experience with financial tools like cloud cost management platforms, financial reporting tools, or IT financial management frameworks (e.g., FinOps) is a plus.Revenera is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
