Role accountabilities:

Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC) provides additional capacity for our Australian offices and supports the technical delivery of projects delivered through each of our regional offices. It also allows for development opportunities through international work experience.

Principal Engineer role within global design consultancy firm Opportunity to work in Civil Structures team delivering transport projects into Australia. Based in Manila, Philippines Responsible for managing technical aspects of larger and/or more complex tasks or components of projects, meeting financial, quality, timeframe and health and safety objectives Manage teams of single (own) discipline of engineers and technicians Lead and provide direction and technical advice to team members, to support them in their delivery and in their professional development. Operate as an experienced, competent professional on work (eg detailed engineering tasks involving design, calculation) Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure integrity of the overall design Have advanced proficiency with relevant desktop applications including the ability to use a range of computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems and presenting results Demonstrate a knack for scripting and automation tolls, streamline and optimizing engineering workflows

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent and formally licensed to act as a professional engineer  Possess minimum 8 years of professional experience in relevant design industry (Transport/Mobility Projects) or similar design industry Strong bridge and civil structures design experience in using Australian standards/codes. Experience in TfNSW, VicRoads, MRWA, PTA and TMR  will be highly regarded Demonstrated experience of working independently and the ability to work in a complex challenging environment Proficient in Design Software (eg Spacegass, Midas, Autodesk Structures Bridge Design, and others) Knowledgeable in Autocadd or similar (Revit, Microstation) Great interpersonal skills (teamwork, supportive attitude, eargerness to learn, proactivity, assertive communication)
