About the team
Money Movement is a strategic platform providing reusable payment functionality for Consumer, Small Business, Commercial and Wealth Management customers across all channels, including capabilities such as Zelle P2P, mobile check deposit, RTP, internal/external transfers, payments, wires, and ACH. The platform positions U.S. Bank for payment products expansion, meeting regulatory and risk controls objectives and global interoperability with its flexible, scalable, resilient, and always-on architecture.
As a Principal Software Engineer and payments domain leader, you will lead work on core systems modernization and payments data platform delivery. You must be a hands-on delivery, payments domain solution and integration architect with executive presence and ability to manage stakeholders and competing priorities. You will drive the Core Payments Platform Modernization, Cloud Migration, Architecture, and Payments Data Mart buildout (our AI/ML work bench for customer and product level reporting and controls).
To be successful, you will understand the delicate balance between legacy platforms and new systems to manage stability. You’ll know what it takes to embark on a modernization journey, building next-generation, data-driven transactions-processing platforms by decomposing the monoliths into logical, functional business components architected with cloud ready microservices architecture

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $143,905.00 - $169,300.00 - $186,230.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
