Are you passionate about leveraging your engineering expertise to mentor teams and contribute to cutting-edge electrical harness designs? We are seeking for a Product Specialist Engineer to join Collins Aerospace Power & Controls Supplier Designed Equipment (SDE) engineering team in Windsor Locks, CT.

As the Product Specialist Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical advisor, bringing your expertise to mentor Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s) in crafting exceptional designs. You will also be collaborating with Collins project engineers, supplier engineers, and customers to ensure the creation of robust and optimized electrical harness designs.

What You Will Do

Development and review of system concepts and design requirements

Review of component interface documents and supplier manufacturing drawings

Evaluation of development and certification test procedures and reports

Oversight of design and qualification processes

Support for investigating issues identified during service or engine tests

Implementation of CORE Tools and processes to ensure robust RCCA

Assessment of supplier technical capabilities

Assistance in cost and weight reduction initiatives

Support for process improvement activities and Engineering Standard Work

Alignment of supplier technology readiness with Collins' advanced control systems plans

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Experience in harness design, manufacturing, and installation.

Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in developing cutting-edge technical products and solutions.

Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including, VISIO, PowerPoint, and Project.

Familiarity with Zuken E3 harness design tool.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
