Principal Engineer - Wet Utilities

Parsons Dubai is currently looking for a Principal Engineer - Wet Utilities to join our dynamic team.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Leadership: Lead medium to large engineering projects, managing a team and ensuring timely and efficient delivery.Team Management: Supervise and guide engineering teams in delivering high-quality work, promoting growth in technical excellence and quality improvement.Technical Consultation: Provide technical consultation for interdisciplinary studies and analyses across the team.Design & Modelling: Utilize software such as Sewer Gems, Water Gems, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, CDE, and BIM for designing and modelling water and wastewater systems.Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes and regulations, including providing professional seals and signatures when required.Material & Equipment Management: Prepare material/equipment specifications, purchase requisitions, and review supplier data. Assist with shop tests and assess supplier capabilities.Operation & Maintenance Plans: Develop operation and maintenance plans, standard operating procedures, and manuals, and provide onsite training when necessary.Site Surveys & Studies: Conduct surveys, site investigations, and safety analyses, while performing reliability, availability, and maintenance (RAM) assessments.Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain familiarity with Water/Irrigation/Firefighting Authority regulations in the Gulf region, including DEWA, ADDC/ADWEA, DM, and others.Design Experience: Design and plan water supply systems, including treatment, pumping systems, and intake structures. Develop utility cross sections as per local authority requirements.Liaison with Agencies: Liaise with service provider agencies for obtaining NOCs and design approvals.Budget & Staffing: Assist in determining budget estimates, staffing requirements, and project scheduling.Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, design reports, and recommend technical papers.What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil/water/wastewater engineering (or related field). A master’s degree is a plus.Experience: Minimum10+ years of relevant work experience in the design and delivery of water and wastewater systems, preferably in the Gulf region.Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of design software including Sewer Gems, Water Gems, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and BIM. Strong knowledge of engineering codes, British and American standards, and local regulations (DEWA, DM, etc.).Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor engineering teams.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with load demand calculations, water supply systems, and regulations from relevant authorities such as DEWA, ADDC, DM, etc.What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
