About the Role
We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Principal Engineering Information Management (EIM) across the Copper South Australia (CuSA) Major Projects Portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing professional to lead both the development and execution of the EIM strategy across a large portfolio to enable the transition of engineering systems and data from the project portfolio to operations. The role is based in Adelaide, reporting into the Manager of Engineering.
Key Accountabilities include:
Development of the EIM strategy for the CuSA Major Project portfolio to ensure transition of engineering systems and data from the project portfolio to operations. Collaborate with Operational teams to define and optimise EIM standards, procedures and processes to ensure engineering information is generated, handed over, presented, maintained and governed in the most effective and efficient manner. Ensure appropriate contractual terms and conditions, governing data and attribution requirements are included in contracts with engineering service providers, contractors, and suppliers. Engage with external partners to ensure EIM requirements are understood and delivered against. Institute robust data governance structures and processes to ensure that engineering data is being appropriately managed including responsibility for compliance audits of external partners. Oversee change management and control processes with respect to engineering systems. Support execution of the project and handover of deliverables, data, and systems from the project to Operations. Coordinate cross-area meetings, information, reporting, issue resolution, plus other team deliverables as directed by the Manager Engineering. Ensure early identification and escalation of emerging technical issues. Working in a proactive business culture with a supportive management structure, and leveraging off your extensive experience, you will have the chance to make full use of your broad range of skills in the areas of data management, technical knowledge, business acumen and communication.
About You
You will have 10 + years’ experience within a relevant technical field with extensive knowledge of engineering information management as part of Operations, Projects and/or Engineering in a heavy industry. This will include demonstrated knowledge of data and deliverable management throughout the project lifecycle, ideally with exposure to the SmartPlant suite of tools. As an experienced professional you will have a high degree of business acumen, with a deep understanding of the operating model and interaction between the processes, systems and people of Projects, Engineering and Operations.
