Principal Financial Analysis

Job Description:

This position is located in Dallas, TX and requires office presence of up to 5 days per week. No relocation is offered.

The Principal Financial Analysis will be an integral team member of the Financial Reporting team and will report to the Director – Accounting. This individual will play a critical role in supporting external reporting to key stakeholders, various internal and external reporting obligations, as well as supporting the period-end process (including reviewing financial results and other various accounting tasks). The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, motivated individual and a self-starter who can identify opportunities, propose solutions, and drive process improvements to completion in a deadline-oriented team environment.


Job Responsibilities:

Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for minority ownership interests in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows and Statements of Members’ Equity and related footnotes.Prepare accurate and auditable supporting documentation.Liase with external auditors to support the completion of financial statement and internal control audits, including preparation and coordination of PBC items.Collaborate with other Financial Reporting team members to prepare and ensure the accuracy of publicly issued quarterly and annual financial reports (Form 10-Q and 10-K filings) and Board of Director materials, including performing detailed tie-outs and internal controls in compliance with SOX standards.Research, review and maintain monthly variance and financial analyses to support the Financial Reporting team.Assist in the preparation of ad-hoc requests for analyses and information, as needed.


Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.CPA required.At least 5-7 years of experience which includes public accounting and/or financial reporting experience. Technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements preferred.Experience with Workiva and HFM a plus.Detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word).Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Education: Typically a bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years of experience in IT, finance, and or accounting.

CPA Certification Required - Please submit License State & Number.

Supervisory: No.
