About Cognizant’s Communications Media and Technology Practice:

At Cognizant CMT - a cross functional team comprised of Delivery Leads, Product Managers, Architects, embedded developers, manual testers, performance testers and automation testers, builds higher quality cutting edge software solutions for clients in cable industry across the globe. Across our US offices or within client development sites, our Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Responsibilities:

Define, deliver and lead the software delivery services for the IWM (Integrated Workflow Manager – Rakuten Symworld Platform)/ DEEP (Palantir Foundry) platform and contribute to the FMO (Future Mode of Operation) definitions, which include business processes, data analysis, and Provider system workflows, that are required to deliver working software and business process improvements according to the NST (Network Simplification Transformation) plan and initiatives for workstreams within the Provider’s E&O (Engineering & Operations) organization. Will be a critical part of the E&O organization that owns the business model and P&L, feature development and prioritization of the product roadmap, customer segmentation and pricing, and demand generation for build, test and launch of wired and wireless infrastructure across markets. Need to work across engineering teams, technology development, product management, Infrastructure build, testing and business owners to set strategy, define the product rollouts, and make the difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between features and time-to-market & will partner with the leaders of the organization to drive the delivery of products that meet or exceed our internal objectives and delight our customers. Drive the transformation program across teams (primarily Engineering, Customer Design/Experience, Operations, Product Management, Business Development, and Marketing) by developing artifacts that will include business requirements, design, implementation, and deployment details. Evaluate industry innovations and technology platforms and identify product partnership and collaboration opportunities to accelerate and or address gaps in the transformation program.

· Interact with senior level executives within the organization.

· Ability to work to completion without direction.

· Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and measure go to market programs.

· Strong knowledge of Network transformation both infrastructure and systems with particular focus on migrating from legacy to COTS products in a provider environment.

Technology Skills (Mandatory): Rakuten Symworld products, Palantir Foundry – Knowledge Hub, Performance Monitor, Site Manager, Fault Monitor, FFM, RAN Commander, Oper RAN; Telecom Networks Wired – Fiber, Optical, MPLS, SDWAN, Ethernet Leased Circuits, Telecom Networks Wireline – 4G, 5G, RAN, Microwave; OSS Transformation, Network Engineering, Service Delivery & Assurance

Years of Experience (Mandatory): 25+

Certifications (Optional): TOGAF, Cloud Certifications, ITSM,

Detailed other requirements (Mandatory):

· In depth understanding of the Rakuten Symworld Platforms architecture, modules and capabilities.

· Ability to leverage the platform to design, develop and implement solutions that address business requirements.

· Profound knowledge of wired and wireless networks in a provider environment, including protocols, standards, topologies, and security mechanisms

· Experience leading OSS transformation initiatives, including evaluating existing systems, defining strategic roadmaps, and implementing modernization solutions.

· Thorough understanding of OSS solutions covering provisioning, FCAPS, monitoring and service assurance

· Demonstrate ability to lead cross functional internal/external teams, provide guidance and drive innovation in architectural design & implementation

· Ability to independently drive business initiatives that align with organizational goals and industry trends.

Preferred Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience

· 25 or more years of demonstrated full-lifecycle ownership of Intelligent network engineering & development. with cross team and cross discipline execution, either directly or as an organizational leader.

· 15 or more years of leading and orchestrating legacy network infrastructure transformation for Wired and Wireline networks with a Tier 1 Telcom provider

· Ability to conceptualize new, innovative applications/services and justify design, build, and/or buy decisions using solid ROI analysis.

· Knowledge of business objectives and be creative enough to help define what we build, with demonstrated experience leading developer facing product efforts.

· Communication skills to manage the large degree of external interaction with customers and partners the role needs.

· Ability in delivering quickly and collaboratively.

· Ability to take ownership and is accountable for quality of all deliverables.

· Ability to lead/supervise multiple programs, also perform program management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration, resources, and scheduling.

· Ability to conceptualize and develop resolutions to complex market challenges and customer use cases that require the use of creativity.

· Ability to make decisions that impact projects and staff members.

· Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

· Experience working on and/or strong knowledge of multi-cloud networking, multi-cloud application orchestration, hybrid cloud and distributed cloud environment management, networking, Networks Operations & management, Infrastructure Engineering and operations.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
