Positions in this function design, engineer, and manage the organization's infrastructure and operational platforms. From a cloud services model, this includes services commonly thought of as IaaS and PaaS and their underlying foundational components. Additionally, this function also has responsibility for traditional enterprise infrastructure and operational platforms such as email, file transfer, and collaboration technologies, among others. This role must understand functional and non-functional requirements to ensure they can be achieved through system design and engineering to meet the needs of the customers. Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop roadmaps for their respective technology portfolios, resolve cross-system and domain dependencies, ensure effective integration among the services offered to the end customer, and efficient usage of infrastructure and operational platforms. Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and ensure that solutions are continuously improved and maintained through product management practices, including recommendations to invest in a solution or retirement of redundant or out-of-date systems. Understand the interactions between systems, the applications and services hosted, and evaluate the impact of changes and additions. Perform analysis on existing systems to ensure performance and reliability, enhance scalability, meet security requirements, and interoperable and maintainable technology portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and manage high-availability Azure cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability and security Design data lake patterns with Azure Data Lake Storage gen 2 Build an extensible Environment and manage VMs, VM scale sets, containers analytics compute environment with Azure Data bricks that can used directly by the end user as well as integrated with additional components like Power BI Implement Azure governance and security practices, including RBAC, policies, Managing Cluster and Azure Security Center Must have experience and understanding of modern Identity & Access Management concepts and best practices Manage pipelines for CI/CD and Release Management workflows / GitHub-Jenkins integration and deployment through Terraform Administer Power BI including user access, data security, and performance Cloud monitoring Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Application Insights, and Log Analytics and cost monitoring of Workspace or other open-source tools Prioritize modularity, reusability, and componentization of solutions Work collaboratively with a distributed cross org team of engineers, architects, and data analysts Support products that are live in the cloud by building monitoring and testing tooling, responding to real time customer reported incidents, monitoring for errors and performance impacting events, and defining best practices for operational readiness This role will habitually interact with internal and external customers on security-related projects and operational tasks

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 7+ years of Experience with Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team 5+ years experience with Microsoft Azure 3+ years experience with Data bricks on Azure 3+ years experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) 3+ years experience with Terraform 3+ years experience doing analytics platform/infrastructure work Experience with PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps for automation Experience of working on Azure key vault/Kubernetes secrets/Hashicorp vault Experience with a range of Azure native monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling: Activity Log, Network Monitoring, Security Center, Log Analytics, Metrics Explorer, etc. Experience designing security, performance, and operational monitoring and alerting systems and processes Experience with open-source monitoring and operations tools Experience in support/operations/monitoring rolePreferred Qualifications:
ITIL v3 certification Microsoft Certified: Azure certification Experience with Power BI Administration Healthcare IT experience with compliance such as HIPAA and/or HITRUST, experience with security controls Experience working in Windows/Unix/Linux environments Expert of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices for Azure cloud services Experience integrating with disparate data sources (EPIC, Hadoop, Oracle, etc.) Experience in migrating existing on-prem product to cloud

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
