Position Overview:
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle's development, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges at all phases of flight. C2BMC serves as a force multiplier both globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to enhance performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise the capabilities of all current and future missile defense systems.
The Obsolescence Sustainment Engineer is directly responsible for implementing and continuously improving the End of Sale/End of Life (EOS-EOL) program for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) Task Order.
Essential Functions:
The chosen candidate will analyze the hardware and software used throughout the enterprise to track, identify, research, and address End of Sale and/or End of Life conditions, then develop and present innovative and comprehensive solutions to mitigate or resolve the obsolescence issueRegular contact with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and cross-functional product teams is essentialProposed courses of action are submitted to management, task order leadership, and the government customer for approvalThe chosen candidate will coordinate with affected product teams to ensure understanding and full implementation of approved courses of action to address obsolescence issuesRegular collaboration and support for other members of the Sustainment Product Team is necessaryPerforms other related duties and assignments as requiredBasic Qualifications:

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
