About the Role
In this role, you will contribute to managing the company’s interface with investors and sell-side analysts to facilitate a full and fair market value for BHP's equity. The position will play an important role in engaging with multiple stakeholders within the business and production of investor communications, ensuring the market has knowledge and understanding of the company’s strategy, operations, financial and ESG performance.
Your responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of the investor relations (IR) strategy for engagement with investors and analysts on all matters BHP in the Australia and Asia regions. Develop content and supporting materials for key IR market releases and events including Results Announcements, Operational Reviews, market briefings, site visits and Annual Reporting suite. Respond to investor, sell-side analyst and internal BHP queries, requests and correspondence in relation to IR matters and contribute to the identification of emerging investor issues. Monitor analyst reports to build understanding of market sentiment and focus areas. Support the management, analysis and publishing of company consensus estimates. Participate in meetings and conferences with other IR team members with investors and analysts in the Australia and Asia regions. Reviews of peer reporting and analyst BHP financial models, providing feedback and recommendations. Horizon scanning and information sharing on key IR related trends and issues as they emerge to identify investor issues for consideration by the broader IR group.
About You
Experience in, or exposure to, an IR or markets role in a publicly listed company, consultancy or financial institution. Strong understanding of financial statements and demonstrated experience analysing key market metrics for the resources industry. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and influence both internal stakeholders and external market participants such as analysts and institutional investors. A track record of preparation of clear, concise written materials and presentations as well as effective communication on this content. Excellent organisational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple projects across time zones and meeting deadlines. Proactive, analytical and results driven demonstrating a high attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Previous exposure to commodity markets and the resources, basic materials or manufacturing industries highly desirable.
