Mission/Position Headline:
The Principal holds technical knowledge that is both deep and broad. He/she decides across defined portfolio elements of the TF. He/she significantly influences the economic results of their organization and drives innovation. As authority for a defined technology focus area of the TF, he/she drives RGs' technology roadmaps, supports system development and acts as technology advisory board to TF Head and RG management as well as internal technical boards and contributes to external ones.

Main Responsibilities 主要工作职责
1.    Develop next generation useful products and technologies from technical (market) trends, analyze current state of technology and derive improvement actions. Design and optimize the development process for complex products and technologies in own technology topic incl. optimization of interfaces to neighboring technologies.
2.    Technically advise TF and RG management (technology roadmap, strategy questions, contract review and etc.) and business partners on implementation of complex tasks in regard to system concepts, innovation, technical risk potential, and competitor analysis.
3.    Initiate technical projects inside and across RGs as well as relevant business organizations. Coordinate implementation and testing of technical concepts / specifications including systems, components, interfaces, implementation standards
4.    Create new, innovative solutions. Actively and systematically develop patent portfolios.
5.    Troubleshoot and guide in strategically important projects. Review technical concepts at critical milestones in strategically important projects.
6.    Solve technical issues within TF and across RGs, IPs and internal working groups.
7.    Represent TF and RG interests externally: Publish in relevant academia, be part of international conference committees, define technical standards, maintain excellent networks with institutes, universities, certification agencies, appraisers, and consultants.
8.    Network: The PKE takes influence as part of a network of experts inside of Siemens (FT and Business Units) and in academia, contributes to committees, e.g. in standardization, and presents /publishes scientific results on international conferences /in refereed journals.
9.    Coaching/Knowledge Sharing: The PKE is sharing expertise with colleagues resulting in increased methodology and tool competence of the team. Coach and mentor selected employees. Train and qualify experts and actively pass on knowledge.
