Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Logistics Management Analyst to oversee and manage the logistical aspects of new construction submarine builds and serve as logistics liaison between the field engineers, the Strategic Systems Program, and prime contractor at the General Dynamics Electric Boat Groton, CT and Quonset Point, RI shipyards.

Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements. Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives. Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

What You’ll get to Do:

Support return of reusable support equipment and shipping equipment.Coordinate tactical and support equipment deliveries to the shipyard.Ensure hardware provided to the shipyard complies with information assurance / cyber security.Plan and coordinate with the shipyard for the receipt, inspection, and storage of launcher hardware, support equipment, and I&C Spares.Plan and coordinate with the shipyard for the conduct and completion of scheduled recertification, maintenance, and recalibration of Launcher Support Equipment, including shipment to /from the test /recertification locations.Ensure HAZMAT and Shelf Life material is available, is received on time, and that it has not expired when it is needed. Coordinate disposal of expired material in accordance with shipyard and company policies.Support Launcher Equipment Requirements Chart (LERC) changes and attend meetings. Complete actions items from the LERC as required.Support cross decking plan to include the movement, stowage, and re-issue of designated components from the legacy submarines to new construction submarines.Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, field engineers, the Strategic Systems Program office, and prime contractor.Prepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements.Compile data from a variety of sources to develop material requirements and spares quantities.Participate in provisioning conferences and physical inventories.Use Microsoft Office Suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required to generate DD-1149 , DD-1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250Monitor supply support effectiveness through document reviews, identify issues and provide recommended solutions.

      

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, logistics and/or business management. An additional 4 years of experience in supply chain, logistics and/or business management may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree for a minimum of 9 years.

Experience as a Logistics Specialist/Storekeeper

Required to have an active Secret Clearance to start and to be considered.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a Logistics Specialist/Storekeeper with familiarization with Navy Supply Systems and Navy/Military systems.

Experience with MS Office programs used to generate DD1149, DD1348-1, DD1348-6 and DD250.

Experience and Knowledge of Navy Supply Procedures and DOD Requirements

Experience with Navy New Construction or Shipyard Supply Operations

Salary Range: $79,100.00 - $118,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
