Principal (m/w/d) – Analytics & Consulting, Pharma / Life Sciences
**Consulting and Analytics** in Germany is part of IQVIA’s Commercial and Consulting Services team in EMEA. The team supports healthcare and life science clients to make decisions across their commercial value chain, with the goal to create value for their brands and to improve patient care. Are you interested in strengthening our team with your consulting expertise and to take on an opportunity where you can add significant value to the business of our Pharma and Life Sciences clients in an international environment? **Your Responsibilities:** As a **Principal within Analytics & Consulting** , you will take on a variety of roles that focus primarily within the following core areas: _client/project leadership, business development, firm/operational leadership roles and supporting the recruitment committee with the selection of new staff as required._ The main focus of a Principal is to deliver outstanding client service, while building trusted relationships with new and existing clients. **In this role, you will:** + Act as principal owner of client engagements; owning responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality/added value strategies that address complex client issues. + Develop close client relationships up to C-suite level at dedicated affiliate and / or HQ accounts in Germany. + Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and identify new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organizations. + Allocate direction, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams. + Form pursuit teams for larger engagements with the appropriate experts from the broader IQVIA organization during pre-sales, sales and delivery phases. + Oversee the delivery in a Principal-in-Charge (PIC) role for projects in your area of expertise, with full responsibility vis-à-vis our clients for quality, time and budget. + Lead thought leadership and firm building initiatives. + Remain current on industry, clients, and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues with assigned clients. + Contribute to the enhanced awareness of Analytics & Consulting services in the marketplace, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications. + Mentor, coach, and share subject matter expertise with others to help develop individuals and capabilities delivering world-class solutions for clients. **Your** **Profile:** Required Education and Professional Experience: + A minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, business informatics/ engineering, health economics, natural sciences, medicine or related discipline, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience. + Extensive experience at a top consulting company, either general strategy; specialized or boutique consultancy. + Sound, hands-on expertise in client delivery, project management and business development, incl. selling complex strategy and operations engagements to top Pharma/Life Sciences companies. + Several years of project experience with pharma and other healthcare industries - sound knowledge of the pharma industry and its core processes is a must. Prior direct pharma industry experience is welcome. Additional Requirements: + Entrepreneurial attitude and innovative mindset with a willingness to take risks and strong hunting skills, balanced with long-term strategic thinking for account development. + Hands-on approach with strong issue-based consulting and conceptual skills, coupled with an ambition for innovation. + Excellent listening and communication skills. + Ability to lead and work collaboratively across complex networks, both internally and with clients, and to influence organizations. + Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop custom solutions at the C-suite level. + Excellent listening and communication skills. + Proficiency in English is a must; fluency in German is preferred. + Willingness to work in our Frankfurt/Munich/Berlin offices when not on-site with clients. Additional Skills and Experience: + _Client Relationship Management and Delivery_ - Principal owner of client engagements to the commercial functions within leading Life Sciences organizations, focused on client satisfaction and outstanding client deliverables. Proven capability to identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients. + _Commercial Strategy and Analytics Experience_ - Ability to speak in detail with Senior Client Management about brand and commercial topics in the life sciences industry segment, in a meaningful manner with depth of content knowledge. + _Senior Level Solution Selling_ - Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop custom solutions with key clients stakeholders. + _Industry Trends_ - Maintains a constant focus on industry, client and competitive trends in the life sciences industry. Applies this knowledge to both active client engagements and business/client development activities. + _Team Development/Management_ - Proven skills in identifying, recruiting, mentoring/coaching, and retaining top talent for consulting practice teams.
