Role Summary:
As a Principal Marketing Manager, Distribution, you will be responsible for managing the strategic marketing relationship with Red Hat's key distributors across North America. This role focuses on driving partner growth through collaborative marketing initiatives, aligning distributor strategies with Red Hat’s business priorities, and empowering distributors to expand their reach into multiple channels. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, metrics-driven, and strategic marketer with a deep understanding of the distribution business model, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to educate internal stakeholders on the value of distribution.
What you will do:
Strategic Partner Marketing:
Act as the primary marketing advisor for NA Distribution partners, driving growth through co-marketing strategies that align Red Hat’s objectives with distributor goals.
Collaborate with Global Distribution Marketing teams and support North American Distribution Partner Account Managers (PAMs) by crafting impactful marketing plans.
Program Development, MDF Management and Performance:
Manage Marketing Development Funds (MDF) to ensure proper allocation, execution, and ROI.
Collaborate with ecosystem sales and marketing to align initiatives with corporate priorities, focusing on growth in key verticals, product categories, and customer segments.
Execute multi-channel campaigns (events, digital, social, content syndication) that maximize distributor impact and align with Red Hat’s strategies.
Track campaign performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Participate in quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to maintain accountability and alignment.
Partner Enablement and Communication:
Educate Red Hat's internal teams on the value of the distribution model.
Act as a key liaison between Red Hat and distributors, ensuring effective communication and joint alignment through regular updates and ongoing dialogue.
Enable PAMs and internal stakeholders to scale Red Hat’s ecosystem through distribution.
What you bring:
10+ years of partner marketing experience, preferably within distribution.
Proven ability to manage complex ecosystems, including distribution and reseller models.
Expertise in co-marketing, demand generation, MDF management, and partner enablement.
Strong creative and strategic thinking with measurable, data-driven outcomes.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with executive presence.
Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage limited metrics for decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
Familiar with CRM, PRM, and marketing automation tools (e.g., Salesforce, E2O).
The salary range for this position is $116,640.00 - $192,390.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
