Role description:
This role is part of Arcadis’ Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis’ offices globally. You will join our GEC MEP Global engineering team, where we are focusing our attention on the following domains: HVAC, hot & cold systems , special gases (compressed, medical, pneumatic tubes), sewage systems, fire protection/suppression systems, electrical low & high voltage, CCTV, security & access systems, public address systems, etc.
For building installations, we cover all types of assets, from offices to educational (universities, schools, campuses), industrial (gigafactories, industrial autonomous warehouses), residential and retail buildings.
Role accountabilities:
Design of HVAC installations for buildings; Performing sewage calculations using different software such as xls spreadsheets or Carrier, Daikin, System Air, Waterloo & others tools; Planning and designing of building systems which include hydronic calculation, building heat gains/heat loses calculations; Performing & delivering projects on different phases as known in Romania as feasibility studies, conceptual and final design; Preparing all the necessary drawings for the specific phase of projects (2D/3D layouts, schematics, sections, layouts); Preparing/modelling/drafting BIM models for the specific use case; Preparing/drafting AutoCAD schematics for the specific use case; Supervising and reviewing basic drawings and the work of HVAC draftsmen; Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions; Log and post all MEP - HVAC changes and as-built information on field drawings.Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory:
Bachelor’s / Master's Degree in Building Services; Minimum 7 -10 years professional experience in design - local or abroad; Strong knowledge of manual and computer engineering software tools ( xls spreadsheets, Magicad, Carrier, Daikin, System Air, Waterloo, others).; Understanding the various designing parameters. Knowledge of hydraulic principles and materials related to the design of HVAC systems; Knowledge in renewable energy sources; Advanced English language skills required; Availability to travel.Nice to have:
Revit MEP knowledge; Knowledge of specialized collaborative platforms (BIM360, ACC, Naviswork); Sustainability in Buildings, bill of quantities and technical due diligence / building surveys activities;Key attributes:
