Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as a Principal Military Trainer – Maneuver Work Cell Instructor/Controller (WIC) in support of the Army’s Operations Group B, Mission Command Training Program (MCTP).  The selected candidate will join our growing team of diverse professionals at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The Principal Military Trainer – Maneuver WIC will serve as a Maneuver Warfighting Function (WfF) subject matter expert and supports tactical and operational maneuver, and as required other WfFs, as a cell lead for a team of contractors supporting MCTP.

Responsibilities:

Trains military personnel on the Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM) and Maneuver WfF specific simulation processes and proceduresEnforces realism of exercise through role playing and conflict adjudication and resolutionSupervises the work cell mission of translating training audience rehearsals, operations and plans into simulation inputs/tasking’s and scripting requirementsTrains and supports work cell augmentees in reporting, role playing elements subordinate to the training audienceEnsures that the work cells WfF units/assets are simulated IAW current doctrine and unit SOPSupports the After-Action Review (AAR) process by communicating significant events using the Workstation Reporting System (WRS)Maintains awareness and understanding of current and emerging Army and Joint Maneuver doctrine for Army Brigades, Divisions, and CorpsWorks with the MCTP Observer/Coach/Trainers (O/C/T) toward a common understanding of Maneuver force organization and structurePerforms additional duties as required:Conducts exercise design and scenario developmentPerforms pre-exercise planning by conducting Site Surveys and participating in planning conferencesServes as a Maneuver WfF SME for the development of the simulation Rules and Workarounds bookAssists with certification training in the Maneuver WfFMaintains the WARSIM WfF Data BaseServes as a point of contact for various additional administrative duty positions

Basic Qualifications:

One of the following:Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experienceMaster’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of experienceMinimum Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or Warrant Officer or SGM’s equivalentGraduate of a related Advanced CourseProficient in current Army Maneuver doctrine and synchronization processesProficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access)Familiarity with current Army and Joint DoctrineAbility to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth, KansasAbility to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)Must currently possess an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate of the Maneuver Advanced CourseServed as a Maneuver Battalion/Brigade Operations Officer, or Executive OfficerGraduate degreeBrigade or higher staff officer experience

Salary Range: $69,600.00 - $104,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
