Job title: Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Duration: Permanent
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Up to £65,000 depending on experience
Location: Cumbria region - On site twice every 2 weeks
Hours of work: 37 hours per week

Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Understanding of the design, build, commissioning and operation of reactor plant systems
- Demonstrable ability to develop technical reports
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Engineering experience in designing and building of systems
- Able to lead engineering investigations

Role information:

- Support or lead nuclear safety engineering activities including the resolution of emergent issues during the build and commissioning phases
- Act as point of contact for documentation, advise and services relating to the safety case
- Develop technical solutions to issues arising during construction and commissioning phases
- Advise on compliance regarding the design, build and commissioning requirements in support of the nuclear build phase
- Undertake nuclear safety assessments of deviations from the design intent
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure they are supported and requirements are met
