Principal Performance Measurement Analyst

Responsible for supporting the development and implementation of comprehensive programs to collect data and effectively report information from these data to a variety of customers; conduct complex statistical analysis and develop new approaches to measurement and analysis;  extract healthcare data from a variety of sources including clinical databases, electronic medical records, and business and HR systems; extract, process, and display data which must adhere to HIPAA guidelines; support business unit operations and projects/initiatives to create synergies; coordinate multiple business unit level projects simultaneously; guide the selection of appropriate resources and facilitate the identification of appropriate scope for high-level projects; coordinate project work plans with resources identified, including facilitating assignment of tasks, setting deadlines, appropriately sequencing tasks, and defining the critical path of cross-business unit; utilize and apply knowledge of SaaS platform, Power BI, statistical data interpretation, Python, SSRS, SPSS, R, data pipeline development processes, Alteryx, data modeling processes, business requirements gathering, large healthcare datasets/codes, data research/validation, Tableau, dashboard creations, SQL, code-based ad hoc reports development, SAS, data analysis, Microsoft Office Suite, data wrangling, and multi-level project coordination to perform duties; apply best practices and ensure regulatory standards are adhered to for projects; understands driving factors for data needs and provide data in addition to specific requests; create complex queries involving multiple tools and query techniques using complex data sets; learn processes responsible for producing data and suggest changes to the processes as needed to obtain effective data; validate data and reports prior to sharing; demonstrate competency with broad range of analytical tools to perform assigned tasks; interact independently with C-Suite and physician leaders and demonstrates ability to discuss data that leads cross-functional teams towards a goal/objective or completion of highly complex projects; and ensure data is presented in such a way that all audiences understand and can utilize it to make informed decisions

Education: Masters Degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Business Administration, Business Analytics, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

 

Training:  None

 

Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as an Operations Analyst, as a Senior Data Scientist, as a Business Intelligence Reporting Specialist, as a Data Analyst, as a Performance Advisor, or in a related occupation;

 

Other Requirements: Experience must have included five (5) years use of all the following: business requirements gathering, large healthcare datasets/codes, data research/validation, Tableau, dashboard creations, SQL, code-based ad hoc reports development, SAS, data analysis, Microsoft Office Suite, data wrangling, and multi-level project coordination.
