Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Piping Engineer for a short term contract approx 4- 6 weeks and will be on a PSC basis working outside IR35. Experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry is essential.  

 

Responsibilities  

Contributing to the delivery of Engineering excellence through:

Executing assigned scopes of work Supporting and supervising task delegation to team Providing discipline expertise to the business Coaching and mentoring as delegated Manage and supervise direct reports Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific procedures and provide feedback for continuous improvement Participate in audits and incident investigations as required Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development Provide discipline support to the business Check and approve piping design documentation Check and approve piping engineering documentation Approval of PED technical files Utilise BP standards for pipework design and procurement Selection of piping materials for specific applications Specification of piping materials, manual valves, pipe fittings and flanges Completion of technical evaluations on piping materials and fittings Review and approval of vendor documentation and certification Review of PDMS/E3D model for piping and plant layout Review of PDMS/E3D model for clash checking Review of dimensional control survey data for clash checking Review of cloud scan survey data for clash checking Provide technical expertise Executing assigned scopes of work   Qualifications for Internal Candidates     Qualifications
