We’ve got what you’re looking for. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Planner (Crisis & Disaster Management)** to join our team! In this role you will get to provide consultation to the Royal Commission in Yanbu on crisis and disaster management, civil defense, security and related matters. Contributes to interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Reports directly to the Director of Crisis & Disaster Management Department. Interfaces frequently with senior management personnel, both Saudi Arabian Parsons Limited (SAPL) and Royal Commission on engineering issues. Supervises all department staff and support functions. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Research and identify disaster-prone areas and develop specific preparedness plans. + Ensure all preparedness plans adhere to local regulations. + Assist with the training of the public, public agencies, and private organizations in all disaster response protocols. + Set up emergency evacuation routes to reduce traffic and provide a safe escape for the community. + Ensure various agencies are in place to set up temporary shelters if needed. + Maximize disaster relief efforts by acting as the liaison between national, local, and municipal agencies. + Prepare status reports on the recovery efforts, needs, and preliminary damage assessments for all emergency situations. + Plan and implement community outreach programs. + Participates in key projects with the ability to develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan. + Provide consultancy to related projects which are across organizations, assisting business continuity. + Assists with time-sensitive reports. + Performs quality assurance and edits intelligence reports with an analytical mindset. + Provide input and recommendations for all policies and protocols. + Collect information regarding the industry's 'best practices' and evaluate them for inclusion. + Constantly seeks areas for improving readiness and effectiveness. + Monitor the use of available computer programs, technological advances and management control techniques on the tasks assigned. + Other duties as assigned. + Experience and Qualifications: List the background experience required for the position, number of years experience, in what fields. + Describe the desirable academic background. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any field. + Minimum of 8 years of experience in related roles. + Proven ability to manage and collaborate with multi-national teams and provide strategic consultation to the + Royal Commission in Yanbu. + Extensive background in crisis incident command, training, exercises, and organizational learning. + Expertise in identifying international standards and best practice guidance strategies. **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Preferred professional experience with Technology Delivery Systems (TDS), Risk Assessment and + Management (RAM), system safety cultures, emergency evacuation and shelter plans, crisis communication + procedures, business continuity management, and collaboration with police, fire, security, and intelligence + agencies. + Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
