The Planner for Legacy Assets. provides strategic counsel and support to the GM Legacy Assets. The role is responsible for decision-making process, implementing strategic initiatives, and integrating workstreams across the Legacy Assets portfolio. This role reports to the Legacy Assets General Manager and is ideally based in Tucson, Arizona.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic counsel to the GM Legacy Assets. Manage Legacy Assets decision-making and approval processes. Develop and implement organizational policies and integrate organizational and operational changes in Legacy Assets. Manage internal and external communications and reporting, including monthly reporting to RCOE management and briefings for BHP’s executive leadership team. Manage Legacy Assets (L4) performance and improvement routines, including delivery of goals and key performance indicators. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders—within and outside the Legacy Assets organization. Lead special projects from conception to execution and oversee large, cross-functional projects or initiatives. Set substantive agendas for Legacy Assets leadership meetings and visits. Collaborate with the Lead Project Coordinator on other aspects of meetings, visits, and briefings. You can expect administrative support from Legacy Assets for managing the GM Legacy Assets calendar, travel logistics for visits, and establishing meeting invites. About You
You are curious about the way things work, push toward continuous improvement, and desire to reimagine the legacy of mining. The ideal candidate is well-rounded and able to converse in and support a broad range of corporate processes. Experience within the resource extraction industry and BHP is beneficial.
