**What you will do:**
+ Design and automate pipelines, processes, and systems to optimize Kubernetes clusters for Raytheon programs and engineers.
+ Maintain and automate infrastructure across VMware, bare metal, AWS GovCloud, Azure for Government, and air-gapped networks.
+ Collaborate with diverse teams to support projects and initiatives across multiple environments.
+ Expert in Kubernetes operations, supporting tools, and developing automation and new capabilities.
+ Proficient in deploying and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in cloud, on-premises, and regulated environments, including DoD networks.
+ Implement monitoring tools and dashboards with best-practice alerts and response processes.
+ Partner with Raytheon teams to understand needs and deliver innovative solutions to complex challenges.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
+ Experience with Kubernetes installation, configuration, and support in cloud and on-premises environments.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Experience with Terraform and Packer for infrastructure as code.
+ Experience with Rancher RKE2, OpenShift, VMware Tanzu or similar platforms.
+ Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins) and automation using Python, Golang, or Bash.
+ Experience designing and operating secure, high-performance systems, platforms, and Kubernetes clusters across bare metal, VMware, AWS GovCloud, and Azure for Government.
+ Experience in deploying cloud-native platforms and applications in both classified and unclassified environments, including air-gapped and regulated networks.
+ Experience with Kubernetes components (service mesh, service discovery, package management, observability, runtimes, and security) and GitOps tools like ArgoCD, Helm, and Kustomize.
+ Experience leading agile teams, delivering projects on time and within budget, and collaborating with product owners and scrum master.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
