Axway, Inc. seeks Principal Pre-Sales Architect I (Scottsdale, AZ)

 

Job Description: Prepare and deliver information technology solution presentations to all levels in the prospect’s organization. Lead discovery workshop sessions to gather customer requirements and critical business challenges. Create solution vision and evangelize how solution addresses technical and business outcomes. Develop customer facing assessment reports documenting current state and future state recommendations. Manage and coordinate proof of concepts (POC’s). Develop POC plans with agreed use cases. Work with presales support teams to execute on the POC. Responsible for delivering technical content for RFP responses. Handle technical presentations at trade shows and conferences. Stay current on the latest technology and contribute to the technical direction of the company while keeping a customer-centric approach. Work with the sales team to define a technical sales strategy for each prospect. Ensure proactive communication with customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Act as a mentor to a team of pre-sales consultants on complex opportunities. Communicate with sales and product management teams regarding customer initiatives. Take lead in working with Solution Architects to define the complete customer solution. Engage with customer’s senior IT and business managers to understand their requirements. Safeguard Axway and its customer data through compliance with policies and appropriate use of equipment and facilities. 

Position requires 50% or less travel in North America. 

Telecommuting permitted. Reports to headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ.

 

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible, post-Bachelor’s related experience, which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Networking protocols and technology (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, DNS, WAN, LAN, VPN, LDAP, Internet, Intranet, and Extranet); B2B integration patterns (WebService, RestAPIs, and SOAP); Data encryption using PGP/GPG; EDI X12 transactions and data transformation from supply chain, financial or transportation industries; IT Service Management tools (HPSM, ServiceNow, or EasyVista); B2B and MFT solutions (Mulesoft, Tibco, IBM, GXS, or Seeburger); and EAI (Enterprise Application Integration), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), or SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).
