Summary
Basic & detail Design Engineering activities for the assigned project(s) for process packages in the upstream oil & gas market, H2 Generation with Electrolysis. in accordance with the FIN’s established procedures.
Preparation / review of PFD, P&ID’s, project specific specifications, design calculation/analysis and simulation, requisitions for procurement.
Interface with other disciplines, vendors and clients.
Provides technical support to both discipline as well as project teams.
Preferably looking for knowledge of Hydrogen Domain.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Process Design & Detail Engineering including performing process simulations, design calculations, Process Optimization, sizing & selection of process internals and equipment etc. for pre-bid and for awarded Projects. Review of Clients RFQ documents, specifications, datasheets, verification of FEED design & calculations. Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P & I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Datasheets, Cause & Effect Diagrams, control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies & reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to the other disciplines and other departments. Preparation & Issue of RFQ’s/material requisitions, evaluation of vendor’s quotations, clarifications, Technical Bid Analysis etc.Ensuring planned engineering (process) progress with respect to the engineering deliverables for pre-bid and awarded projects. Planning of own activities effectively & efficiently. Responsible for department’s continuous improvement, meeting objectives and integration of lessons learned.Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications and calculations.Responsible for providing guidance and oversight to multiple teams working on numerous products or developing various forms of technologies. Reporting work-order and task progress regularly to both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. project managers)Ensuring delivery of the agreed work-order scope and reaching agreement with client about work-order closureEducation / experience / competenciesB.E. or B.TECH. / M.Tech in Chemical EngineeringSpecialization in Petroleum / Petro Chemical Engineering preferredAbility to communicate (speak and write) in English at a professional levelExperience:Minimum 15-17 years in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Design Engineering (with minimum 5–8experience in the upstream Oil & Gas industry, in consulting OR EPC company with Design & Engineering capability)
Hands-on experience with design of glycol dehydration and fuel gas conditioning processes is a mandatory requirementOther Skills / Abilities:Hands on experience in software such as Honeywell UniSim, Aspentech HYSYS, Sulcol, etc.Conversant with the Engineering Standards such as API, NFPA, ASME, BS / EN etc. and Client Standards such as SHELL and SAUDI ARAMCOWell conversant with Design codes, HSE and regulatory requirements such as PEDCompetencies:Frames Core Competencies
