Principal Process Improvement Specialist

This position manages the design, review, optimization and continuous improvement of key department business processes. This position utilizes a strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and associated tools, change management, knowledge and understanding of data reporting and management, overall management of department operational workflows, and related governing policies and regulations. Able to lead performance improvement projects for obtaining targeted clinical operational and financial goals.  Responsible for tracking progress of department projects and for communicating results to project teams and other groups. Works closely with the Executive Director Operations - South Bay to plan out activities, presenting proposals for achieving department goals, annually.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree In health, industrial or production engineering, or related field. Coursework/Training in process improvement and change management facilitation and techniques. 5 years Experience in a position directly applying lean techniques and quality problem solving techniques, preferably a leadership role. Experience developing and delivering educational materials in a group setting. Experience in Lean, Six-Sigma, or Quality Engineering. 2 years Working a highly matrixes work environment, health care. Experience in establishing and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external customers. Experience in leading and facilitating group process, decision making, and prioritization. Experience in process improvement and change management facilitation and techniques; experience in applying these skills to affect organizational change.

Preferred Qualifications:

5 years In a management, supervisory or leadership role.
