About the Team:

Our team at Atlassian is dedicated to driving product-led growth and engagement for the Jira product. We focus on crafting innovative strategies that enhance user engagement and expand our product's reach, driving the ultimate flywheel that has driven Jira’s growth from its inception. As Principal Product Manager for Jira, you will have a leadership role on the Jira team as an individual contributor with substantial input on both strategy and execution. You will play a pivotal role in shaping strategies that transform how our customers use Jira to get work done faster and more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and execution of product strategies focused on growth and engagement for Jira.

Navigate solution space complexity, ensuring alignment and collaboration across multiple teams in a matrixed organization.

Mentor a world-class team of product managers.

Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of product initiatives, using the OKR framework and data-driven insights to inform decisions.

Drive data literacy, using data to make better decisions without getting stuck in analysis paralysis.

Maintain a customer-centric approach, focusing on the impact across our existing customer base and exploring opportunities to reach new customers.

Succeed in an experimentation-driven culture, with an emphasis on rapid iterations, testing, and learning.

Background Requirements:

8+ years of product management experience, preference for B2B SaaS domain experience.

Proven track record of leading complex projects that require significant cross-functional collaboration.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to drive product decisions.

Experience building a compelling business case for new opportunities.

Experimentation or iterative shipping experience in designing tests, summarizing test results, and building frameworks to make data-informed launch decisions.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.

Deep understanding of the product-led growth model and experience in implementing it within a tech company.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $190,400 - $253,800

Zone B: $171,300 - $228,400

Zone C: $158,000 - $210,700

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
