Principal Product Manager

The Windows Server engineering team is looking for a senior leader with a proven track record of delivering success with big challenges for products or services in the commercial enterprise space. This is an opportunity to have a huge impact on one of Microsoft’s most important businesses. Windows Server is the primary platform for Cloud services internally and externally, as well as having a deep history with 1st party and 3rd party ISVs (independent software vendors). With each release, comes complementary releases of Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, System Center and many more enterprise products. These products are crucial, fundamental pillars of how Microsoft fulfills its vision (below). Now is a transformative time for Windows Server, with the release of WS2025, the rise of AI, the paramount importance of security and reliability, and the demand for hybrid computing at the edge.

As a Principal Product Manager on the Windows Server team, you will define new business strategies and experiences for on-premises customers who are looking to modernize their infrastructure with hybrid solutions. You will make connections with Azure teams and build their success into seamless experiences in the product. A primary goal will be modernizing the Windows Server business by Arc connecting on-premises with Azure services. Windows Server 2025 allows customers to Pay-As-You-Go, an all-time first for WS. PayGo and Arc renaissance will be leveraged to add more value to these connected experiences. You will be central to this work. This opportunity will allow you to grow your career as a product leader across major organizations at Microsoft, including Windows, Windows Server, M365, Azure Arc and Azure Cloud Services (some of the biggest software companies in the world in their own right). This opportunity will grow your foundations in software engineering and business acumen. You will work closely with senior leadership, business planning and Marketing, as well as software engineering counterparts. You will grow your skills in evangelization and have direct impact on the world with the work you do every day. This job supports working fully onsite, fully remote, or a mix.
