Principal Product Manager

What you'll do As we aim to accelerate our growth in Japan, we are seeking a dynamic Principal Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in our product and growth strategy. You will work alongside our team in Japan to ensure our product offerings resonate deeply with customer needs, while effectively driving adoption and revenue growth. Interacting directly with customers to validate solutions and market needs will be a key part of your role. You will work with a broad set of partners to define a multi-year strategy and lead the efforts to build the roadmap, vision, and priorities for supporting Docusign customers in Japan, and requires a unique blend of strategic product management, market analysis, and hands-on GTM execution. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Sr. Director, Product Management. Responsibility Conduct thorough market research to understand local customer behaviors, preferences, and competitive landscape Adapt product strategies to fit the nuances of the market in Japan Gather continuous feedback from local customers, prospects, and partner ecosystem to inform product iterations and GTM strategies Collaborate closely with the product design and development teams to prioritize features and enhancements that address market-specific needs while aligning with the overall product roadmap Develop comprehensive GTM strategies, including positioning, messaging, pricing, and distribution channels Define key success metrics and regularly track and analyze performance to optimize strategies and achieve growth targets Work closely with design, marketing, sales, customer success, customer support, and other regional collaborators to complete GTM plans Experiment in ways that help us learn, and thoughtfully take those findings to develop repeatable playbooks that we can scale globally Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology related area of study 10+ years in product management and/or GTM strategy roles in Japan, preferably within the SaaS industry Experience building and gaining consensus of cases for new product capabilities and innovations Track record of successfully launching and scaling products in international markets while working in matrixed global organizations Demonstrated ability to interpret data and trends to develop practical insights and strategies Proficiency in both English and Japanese (verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across cultures and across the organization, locally, regionally, and at global HQ) Preferred Master’s Degree (e.g., MBA) Demonstrated ability to get results through effective initiative management and cross-functional leadership Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the flexibility to travel internationally as needed Demonstrated success managing large-scale technology products including new, existing, or legacy products tailored to the needs of the local market ecosystem Proven ability to collaborate well cross-functionally across organizational boundaries with Engineering, User Experience, Research, Product, Program Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT, Compliance, Security, Legal, Business Development, and Support Experience in consulting or related business fields involving compliance or regulatory requirements Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
